Program Overview

SmartFlow’s Preventive Maintenance and Service Program promotes reliable operation and extended equipment life for qualified SmartFlow installations. The program applies to select process applications and system sizes. Contact SmartFlow to confirm eligibility. 

Quarterly On-Site Service

SmartFlow field engineers perform scheduled visits, typically quarterly, to inspect system components, replace wear items, and verify performance. 

Each visit includes:

• System inspection by a SmartFlow field engineer 
• Membrane and gasket rotation and installation 
• Process performance review with site personnel 
• Service report with observations and recommendations 

System Review and Optimization

Performance data and operating conditions are reviewed regularly with the customer team to help sustain efficiency and throughput.

Activities include:

• Analysis of recent operating data and cleaning records 
• Recommendations for cleaning procedures and flow conditions 
• Updates to operational parameters as needed to maintain target performance

Module Rotation and Replacement

Membranes naturally experience gradual throughput decline over their life cycle. The program helps maintain consistent productivity by proactively rotating a portion of modules each quarter. 

Program features:

• Average module age balanced to sustain performance 
• Rotated modules stored in a SmartFlow-approved preservative solution 
• Stainless-steel storage container supplied for on-site module storage 
• Spent modules returned to SmartFlow for evaluation and recycling

• Improved reliability through immediate access to rotated modules 

Optional Remote Monitoring

For eligible installations, SmartFlow can remotely monitor and control the system,  when access has been approved by both SmartFlow and the customer. 

Available options include: 

• Tracking of key system metrics 
• Online diagnostics and performance assessment 
• Rapid response to operational deviations or upsets 
• Program modifications can be completed remotely by automation engineer
